To date, the agenda for our Tuesday, May 13th, meeting includes:
- Tom Schatz, president of Citizens Against Government Waste, will describe the results of CAGW's recently released 2008 Pig Book.
- Kristina Rasmussen, director of government affairs at the National Taxpayers Union, will disclose the results of NTU's latest ranking of the members of Congress.
- Jennifer Perkins, executive director of the Virginia Coalition for Open Government, will introduce herself and her organization, promote an upcoming conference in Virginia, and discuss VCOG's support of budget transparency for the commonwealth.
- John Taylor will outline Tertium Quids' legislative agenda for 2009.
- Robert Dean, communications director for the Virginia Beach Taxpayer Alliance, will update us on the latest from Hampton Roads in regards to the transportation plan (HB 3202).
- Keith Drake, chairman of the Albermarle Truth in Taxation Alliance, will introduce this new taxpayer group in Charlottesville and what they plan to accomplish in the coming months.
